COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS

Please read this carefully before filling out the form and paying dues.

The Cultural Committee's decision on acceptance of all the entries will be final.

  • Submit entries by 09/28/2011 6:00 PM via entry forms on the website only. Last date to submit general entry without extra late fees is 09/28/2011.

• Fill out entry in its entirety for each performance separately.

• Entries sent through email or phone messages will not be considered for scheduling.

• Check the form carefully and pay dues accordingly. There is not refund or exchanges. No refunds on cancellation for any reason.

• Please pay attention to spellings. Provide first and last name of all the participants.

• If need more space for any fields on the form, please send separate email with item name that matches the entry as subject along with coordinator's name.

• All participants should be available to perform both days for entirety of the cultural program times unless have paid extra fees to perform either on Saturday or Sunday only. If extra fees   are not paid to perform only one chosen day, then the item may be scheduled for either one day or both days.

• All participants in general entries should be ages 6 and above for all the performances.

• All general entries will have time limit of 6 min. Group performances are strongly encouraged.

• Please make sure that confirmation of the entry has been received within 24 hours. (not the receipt) If you don't receive the confirmation, please send us an email.

• All participants are expected to report near the stage half an hour before their scheduled time.

• Failure to do this may end up in not being able to perform at all. There will be no refund of money if you cannot perform for any reason.

• Any change in participant's names or any other details should be given to a Cultural team member at the time of reporting near the stage in legible writing.

• FOI cultural committee reserves the right to reschedule or eliminate any entries.


For competition entries in addition to all the above rules:
 
• Please let us know your intention of participating in the competition via email now. Please give brief information on your item to help us avoid duplication.

• Please pay attention to the time limits. Time will be recorded by time keeper. Points are deducted from the overall score if you exceed the given time limits.

• All competitions in each category have to be available to perform on both days. The age will be based on the oldest participant in the group. Each competition entry is recommended   to have minimum of four participants.

• All competitions in each category will be held if a minimum number of 4 entries are received.

• Folk dance competition – two groups based on ages. (a)Ages 6-13 (b) ages over 13.Time limit 8 min

• “Public Ne Banadi Jodi”- two groups based on ages (a) ages 6-13 (b) ages over 13.Time limit 8 min

• “Indian Cinema Now and Then” –all ages are welcome. Time limit 15 min

• Fill out the form and pay dues before the dead line.

• Failure to report half and hour before the scheduled time may disqualify from competition.

• The Judge's decision will be final.
